2002 - 2018

My darling Louie passed away on January 9, 2018 after celebrating his 15th birthday on December 23, 2017. He lived a full and happy life—going on walks in Cherokee Park in Louisville, Kentucky, playing with his sister Grace and brothers Duke, Charley, Lark, and Lyric, kissing Grace gently on her face, proudly showing off his fluffy ears, watching the sunset at the riverfront, listening to my piano playing, swimming in Patoka Lake, hiking on trails in Indiana and Kentucky, renting a houseboat at Dale Hollow Lake, and having his teeth brushed daily. He was a beautiful and loving boy who was so strong and brave through the several medical illnesses that he faced. I will cherish all of the times that we spent together. I miss you terribly my dearest Louie and love you so very much. Louie's brother precious Duke tragically died at the age of 5 in 2007 while being groomed at his veterinary clinic in Louisville, Kentucky while Louie watched.
