SGHETTI MARIE

2005 - 2020

Sghetti came to me through my cousin who found her at a vacant house along side two siblings and her dad. The momma cat was missing and the kittens were attempting to nurse from the dad. I was and am allergic to cats but my cousin convinced me she needed a home with me. And so, life with Sghetti began. She was sweet, yet a force to be reckoned with and if I believed in reincarnation, I surely do think she was someone's second life. Highly intelligent, cognitive. She obeyed commands always with the last word, oh feisty, sassy one! She destroyed many a throw rug and carpet along with furniture. She once put me in ER literally with cat scratch fever! Had to have surgery for that one! Despite my own perils (as my friend Sherry Lane Jwina has said) I have loved her and her pain in the butt ways that have been a part of my days and nights for nearly 15 years. She somewhat liked, but mostly tolerated my son and the dogs. Her territory. Why are they here? Her mission was to drink from the dogs water bowl and block them from access to me. Little cat vs. big dogs. Quite comical really! Occasionally she'd touch noses or purr so I'm certain she didn't think them quite so awful. I will miss that purr. Above all, she was loyal and loving and a huge part of our family. In her final moments, she made very clear, that bond we shared. The house is too quiet this morning. Too different. She will be my last kitty...pretty kitty. My heart is crushed. Rest easy in the arms of your Creator baby girl, until I see you again. Sghetti Marie Biondo 2005-2020
