Minnie Mouse
We were a foster home for Rat Terriers when we rescued this little blue and white ragamuffin from a shelter in North Georgia. She was covered in dirt and fleas with thick matted fur. She was so stand-offish and suspicious of us at first. We were asked by our rescue group to send in a “family” photo with our two dogs. The four of us gathered on a big chair for the family photo. When we later previewed the photos, Minnie Mouse was sitting right next to the chair in every photo. She was fully looking into the camera. Well, they said, “family” photo! We already knew we loved her and from that day, she was ours.
She stopped running away from us over time and fully accepted our love and became a confident member of our family. She was the funniest girl. She did a scooch across the carpet to start every morning and she had a special little dance for every meal. She had this adorable overbite and she would give us nibble kisses on the end of our noses.
It was an amazing 10 years, thank you for the love, kisses and laughs Minnie Mouse. You will always be in our hearts and a member of this family.
