Blue was the first dog I’d had in several years, and we bonded the minute I saw him. Our personalities were just the right mix. He was a deep voiced talker but a total teddy bear. He was a rescue, and I asked myself at least a hundred times, “who could possibly not have wanted this adorable basset hound?” That person’s mistake meant I got the best of best friends for 11 years.
