Dixie

2009 - 2024

Loving you for the last 15 years has been the most amazing feeling ever. Dixie, you were the sweetest, most dedicated fur baby that brought so much joy and companionship to all of us.

Dixie loved everything life had to offer. She had the most sweetest gentle soul and loved us endlessly every day. I wouldn’t change a sweet thing about that precious girl, she was perfect! She loved car rides traveling with us anywhere, going fishing, chasing laser lights, shadows, squirrels, and cats as well as barking and following behind Bella and Scooby. Dixie loved dressing up in her clothes and especially loved her house and dog bed as she got older (we could always find her buried under her blanket). We will miss you making us laugh especially by chasing your own tail thinking it was your worst enemy when you had something to eat.

As Dixie aged, she was diabetic, got cataracts, and became deaf, she used her nose to find her way around to us. When she smelled her favorite food or treat (which was anything sweet) even if it was across the room, she’d be right at your feet wanting some. If she didn’t get her way, she would peck on you like a chicken, ram the couch and buck around or bark until she got her way.

I sure hope Dixie always knew how much she was loved and how an important part of our family she was and always will be.
We never wanted to say goodbye to our sweet girl on January 28, 2024. I was so lucky to be able to have held her in my arms while she peacefully passed on with Daniel by my side. It was so beautiful and yet the hardest thing I ever had to do. I’m so glad I have hundreds of pictures and videos with wonderful memories to look back on.

Without you I’m not sure what I will do……Our hearts are shattered. We will forever love and miss you! Those little footprints will always be in our hearts!
She will be forever loved and missed by me, Daniel, Kelsey, Cayden, Bella, Scooby and many more family, friends, neighbors and loved ones she has met along the way. Rest in peace our sweet Dixie Belle XOXO
