My sweet Lucille, you were the most loving dog. Sleeping at night without you pressed up against your dad and I, or laying on my legs feels so wrong. I am so happy you were able to be our kids' big sister. You were so good and gentle with them. It is so hard not having you here. I didn't realize how much I would reach out to stroke your head and ears until you were no longer here. I still reach out for you without thinking about it. You were our first child, and I am so happy that we were able to take you so many places with us and enjoy our time with you. I am so glad that this last year I was able to be a stay at home mom and be with you every day. It also makes it that much harder though because you were such a big part of my day. I just can't believe you are gone. I love you so much.
