Samson

2005 - 2018

My Samson sh-pup, I miss you so much. Thank you for the unconditional love and the endless amounts of smiles and joy you have brought into our home. Thank you for being so friendly and playful to our friends and guests that have come and gone into our lives. And most importantly, thank you for being my furry BFF — I will cherish and remember the 12 years I had with you — from car rides to walking around the aisles of Petsmart endlessly to where I had to carry you out because we had spent more time there than needed. I will never understand why you chose me to be by your side the last 6 months as you gradually became very weak -- I feel so honored to have spent your hardest days with you. I would trade a million sleepless nights and change your dirty pee pad forever if I knew there was a chance you could stay here forever. You have been a kind-hearted, incredibly loyal, and loving boy — I will miss seeing your sweet face every day — coming up to you and saying, “kiss-kiss” as you cover my face with your slobber and dog breath. I was there to greet you the first day you came into our family home and I was there to comfort you on your last day in our family home -- the pain of having to let you go will need time to heal. You truly were the best dog ever.

I know we will see each other again some day and you will excitedly be there to jump up and greet me with “kiss-kiss. You will always be in my thoughts for you have left your paw prints on my heart.

I’ll love you forever, Samson, my sh-puppy boy, the best sh-puppy ever.
