My sweet southern belle Sofie June, Junie, June Bug, Bug, Pinky Lee. You will be forever missed. You came after our first Basset Hound Loosey passed and I wasn't sure I would be as close to you as I was to my Loosey, but you certainly wove your magic around my heart and the hearts of all that knew you. You helped us transition as our daughter went off to college, you became our focus. You were such a clown, always making life's moments just a bit sweeter because you were there. I miss hearing the jingle of your collar, your digging for China as you find a place to settle for a nap, or the rumble of you coming down the stairs in what I, to this day, claim was a controlled fall. Your butt was so far from your head we said it was in a different hemisphere, you even won longest female Basset at the Basset Bash one year. My heart aches because I miss you, but my heart rejoices that you are no longer suffering. One day I hope to see you again my sweet girl, until then I hope Loosey is showing you the ropes.
