Ami James Urschel

Ami (aw-me) James Urschel, 13, of Shelbyville Kentucky, passed peacefully with his family by his side on October 22, 2025.
Ami was born in May 2012, and when Melodie and her family came to pick a puppy, that puppy picked them. He was the only sociable one in the group and he captured our hearts immediately, coming right up and making his presence known.
Ami was raised on a 5-acre farm in Shelbyville of which he watched over his family consistently and carefully. His calm demeanor, regal appearance, and sweet personality always captured the hearts of family, friends, and visitors. Ami was our great protector for 13 years.
Ami, you will be forever missed at the Urschel Farm. We are so thankful that in the greenest pastures, you can run and do all the things you loved to do, again.
We will love you and hold you in our hearts forever.
