I have lost a part of myself since you crossed. I fall asleep uneasy as I feel the empty spot that would have been you pressed alongside of me. I awake patting the bed around me because you are not snuggled up against me.
I miss your barks as your brother announces there is someone/thing outside a window. No barks announcing to daddy that food is being prepared in the kitchen. No more wooooooo woooooo woooooo to announce a household member has arrived home. No raba raba raba to announce you feel like playing. My heart has an empty spot that just aches for you. Thank you for being in my life, for the joys, the sadness and the everything in. between. We were blessed to have you in our world (it just wasn't long enough)
Lick Skeeters nose for me and I will see you again one day my baby girl.
