Bella

2006 - 2019

Bella was a tad mischievous like her mommy. In her prime, she used to eat anything that didn’t run away including electric toothbrushes and curling irons. That girl could and would eat ANYTHING. When we lived on the beach, she made it a habit of visiting all the neighbors down the street on Thanksgiving so that each home would give her turkey. She was an only child for a few years until mommy brought home her little sister, BabyLove the puppykat. They were instant best friends. They cuddled and BL would lick Bella’s face and body to give her a bath. Bella didn’t like it very much but she was very tolerant of her sissy. A few years later, she gained another sibling in the form of a pit/lab mix named Commissioner Gordon. They loved each other as well. I still remember the day I picked Bella up from the airport. She had been flown from Oklahoma. I saw a picture of her as a 4 week old pup and HAD to have her. I was 21 years old. Bella would be my most constant companion for the next 12 years. She loved sleeping under the covers, would almost “cry” with joy when she got a visit from her Grandma or Auntie. She preferred humans to other dogs, although other dogs loved her. She’d run from them and look for the nearest human lap to jump into. She was spunky, full of energy and very lovable. She served as a therapy support dog for kids and adults while mommy worked. She was my little angel and she is very missed.
