Big Ben

2013

Ben was a gentle giant - sweet, affectionate and incredibly loyal. The most wonderful thing about him, though, was his ability to roll with the punches, no matter what came his way. He went from being a shelter dog, to our only baby, to being the first of many in our ever-expanding family. At times, he got lost in the shuffle of new pet chaos, but he was always gracious and accepting of it. He seemed to understand that it was part of the bonding process.

He loved his family - his brothers Max and Yogi. He loved his feline buddies, Sierra, Pumpkin and Pepper. He loved his Mommy, Daddy and Grandma; and we all love him and will miss him more than words can say.

He enjoyed traveling and walks around the neighborhood, chewing on sticks and chasing laser cat toys. He seemed to have a sensitivity to spirit activity, and showed no fear of them, yet was mortified of lightning, fireworks and bug zappers.

Rest in peace, Ben ... there are no scary noises in dog heaven. We will miss you dearly.
