Buddy Nesta

2014 - 2021

I was at a low point of my life and something inside me said "you need a companion". Who would of thought that I would meet a tall gray/tan and handsome sweet boy named Buddy. Buddy was found by his foster father (Mike) at the Alamance County Landfill. His heart wouldn't allow him to just go about his day. He took Buddy home to his family (Crystal and kids), brought him back to a healthy weight, and registered him to the Alamance County Animal Shelter to find a home for him. After meeting 6 other dogs I found Buddy on the site. I arranged to met him, and it was an instant bond. Adopting him was the greatest decision I've made for myself thus far. The fact that he had a handicap (he was blind in his right eye) wasn't a factor to me because I knew he was my pup. Buddy was born 11/08/2014 and I officially became his mommy 12/14/2018 (added the name Nesta) and from that day...he was my everything until we said goodbye (see you later) to each other on 02/24/2021. Buddy Nesta was loving, sweet, silly, aggressive hugger (he would hug everybody that came to the house), kiss giver, and protector. Anybody that met him loved him instantly. Everytime we would leave the house people would tell me how handsome he is and ask if I'm breeding him. He loved to go to dog parks, chew on his bones/toys (and my expensive shoes), he loved family visits, and hanging out with doggie cousin Pepsi. Buddy Nesta taught me patience, resilience, not take everything so serious, to enjoy the little things, and how to be fur mom. Most of all... he gave me unconditional love. People have praised me for rescuing him, but Buddy Nesta rescued me. Two years and 2 months was not enough time with him. I would give anything to have him here. Buddy Nesta is survived by all who's met him, cared for him, and loved him. Mommy loves you sweet boy and you will always be mommy's baby.
