Gingy

2018 - 2026

Gingy was not just a cat — he was a soul who chose us.
He came into our lives the way only the most special companions do: by following his heart. A stray with a gentle spirit, he waited for us, walked with us, and eventually climbed right into our car as if he already knew he belonged in our family. From that moment on, he never left our side.

He was sunshine in fur.
Funny, social, dog‑like in the sweetest ways, Gingy greeted life with curiosity and warmth. He flopped on his back for belly rubs, nudged us for kisses, and slept tucked under my arm like a baby. Every morning he woke me by sitting on my chest, wrapping his paws around me, and giving his little face kisses. He was stubborn, determined, and full of personality — a true Capricorn with a heart of gold.

He loved deeply, and he was deeply loved.
Gingy wasn’t just a pet; he was my best friend, my comfort, my constant. He was part of our family’s rhythm — always nearby, always watching, always wanting to be part of everything. His bond with us was unbreakable, and his presence made our home feel whole.

His journey was hard, but his spirit never dimmed.
Even as illness took away his ability to groom, to eat comfortably, to use his tongue, he kept trying. He fought with courage and sweetness until his very last day. And every step of that journey, he was surrounded by love, creativity, care, and devotion. Our vet said he stayed as long as he did because of the way he was cared for — because he felt safe, cherished, and protected.

On August 19, 2026, Gingy was gently laid to rest.
He passed peacefully, held in my arms, knowing he was loved beyond measure. His suffering is gone now, and his light — the soft, warm, silly, loving light he carried — will stay with us forever.

Gingy was a gift.
A once‑in‑a‑lifetime companion.
A soul who made our world brighter.
A love we will carry for the rest of our lives.
Rest in peace, my sweet boy.
You chose us once, and we will choose you forever.
