In Loving Memory of Holly, my best friend
August 2, 2013 – January 30, 2026
Holly was full of spunk and energy—a beautiful dog inside and out. She loved her people fiercely, especially her family, and had a way of making everyone feel comforted and protected. During the loss of Bill, Caroline’s dad, Holly became a quiet source of strength and love for Caroline and Becky, always close by when she was needed most.
Holly loved food—any food—but especially food that belonged to someone else. If a burger was left unattended on the table, it was gone faster than you could blink. She never missed an opportunity to taste-test whatever anyone else was eating.
She adored her neighborhood best friends, Jackson and Junior. We often joked that Holly was Junior’s sugar momma, and the bond they shared brought so many smiles and laughs.
Though small, Holly was mighty. She caught and killed two birds, a frog, and even a rabbit in her lifetime. She was fast, determined, and always ready for the chase.
Holly also took her role as protector very seriously. She alerted us to the Amazon driver the moment he entered the street and would have gladly torn the door down to reach the pizza man. She truly was the best little guard dog.
Holly leaves behind her mom and dad, RJ and Caroline, her sister Lola, and her beloved Lolly Grandma, who loved her dearly. We take comfort in knowing that Mr. Bill and her buddy Crockett were waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge. We imagine Mr. Bill has already taken her on the walk of a lifetime (off leash of course).
Thank you, Holly, for the love you gave us so freely. You made us happy and brought so much joy into our lives. We will miss your bark, your spunk, and your presence more than words can say. Life won’t be the same without you—but we are forever better for having loved you. 🐾💔
