This morning I found you on the side of the road, a car had struck you and took your life. We wrapped you in what we could find, as you deserved better than to be left there, and took you with us. I want you to know that I am sorry that your life was taken from you, sorry that no one stopped to help you while you laid there dying, sorry that you had to die alone, but most of all, I am sorry that I didn't find you earlier, for maybe you could have been saved. To the beautiful German Shepherd whom I don't even know your name, I want you to know that you were loved, not only by us, but also by Pet Angel, who so graciously offered to cover your final expenses without asking anything from us. Although I don't know your name, and wish I could have known you in life, you touched our hearts, and we will remember you always. Rest in peace beautiful boy.
