Louie

2009 - 2019

Louie came to us in 2016 on a June warm Saturday nite as he followed a neighbor home. He didn't have a collar on, so we decided to bring him in to our home. Of course we didn't even know his name the entire weekend and we knew he had to be a neighbor dog because he was so friendly. We kept him the weekend and on that Monday we found his owners. They came to pick him up and while it was going to be so tough to let him go, we knew he would be so elated to be back with is family. Much to our surprise, his owners were going to give him to a family member, so my husband asked if we could keep him. Well, Louie became ours and was able to spend his last 3 years of life in a warm, loving home. He brought so much joy to our girls and especially to me. Louie loved to take walks and I walked him every day and on his final walk, he was able to see his friend Jack who had called him Leo as I never wanted to correct Jack. I think they both were so happy to see each other.

Louie, you are extremely missed and I know you are no longer hurting or in pain. I miss you "My Old Boy" an I love you so much. Remember to look for us as we cross the Rainbow Bridge one day.
