2009 - 2024

After rescuing Maxwell, my yellow Lab, I could see he was becoming lonely while I worked so we decided to (just look), at a nearby shelter in Southern California called Animal Friends of the valley. we saw two black labradors and brought each one to a safe zone to see the chemistry. the first one while seemingly well behaved had no interest in playing with maxwell and he was trying. the 2nd named midnight (later mysty) took off jumping, playing and chasing each other around, both smiling from ear to ear. it was done! i couldn't leave the shelter without her. on our way out, there was a huge courtyard with several people hanging out. while we were leaving both dogs were so excited they were running around me and everyone began clapping and cheering at the site. the two were inseparable their whole lives and both made it to 15 years old. i'll miss you girl and thank you for protecting our family all those years. i'll see you in my dreams...
