OREO FLUFFYBUTT, 13, of Largo, FL, passed away at 11:50 am on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Belcher Animal Clinic in Clearwater, FL with his daddy by his side, following a diagnosis of an aggressive cancer just over a month earlier. Born in Pinellas County, Florida on September 24, 2007, he was put up for adoption at the Humane Society of Pinellas in 2008. He was quickly adopted but subsequently returned to the shelter that summer. On June 26, 2008, volunteer, David, met Oreo, as a shy, but extremely affectionate roughly 9-month old kitten and instantly fell in love with him, deciding to take him home that same day. From day one, he proved to be the Sweetest of All the Sweet Kitties, garnering his greatest joy throughout his life from simply laying in his daddy's lap, purring, and making biscuits. He loved scratching posts and scratching things that weren't scratching posts, and he didn't run so much as he “pranced”when he chased a toy, a treat, or the little red dot. He loved food, and rarely turned his nose up at anything edible: his favorite food was a full bowl of whatever. He was a connoisseur of catnip, and enjoyed licking it, eating it, and rolling around in it. Oreo is survived by his little brother, Purrseus, and his loving daddy, David. Oreo's genuine loving and affectionate nature will be truly missed by his family, but it will never, ever be forgotten.
