Kudos to Pet Angel (and Employee Colleen Armour)!

Kudos to Pet Angel for the excellent services they provide when one goes through the loss of a beloved pet.
In my case, employee Colleen Armour’s gifts of compassion and professionalism during the process were invaluable.
Her attention to detail and the “human touch” she conveyed, while gently guiding me through a process I had not experienced before, made all the difference.
I also had an opportunity to speak with Florida based counselor Rosalee on the 24/7 Pet Compassion Careline (1-855-245-8214) that was provided by Pet Angel. Rosalee was a great resource too.
Thank you Pet Angel, Colleen and Rosalee!

L’il Bear – our small chihuahua Mix Dog

L'il Bear was only 19 months old when tragedy took his life away from us. He was the funny, loving joy in our lives and we are devastated by his passing. The vet who cared for him told us about your services and we received his ashes within a week. We burst into tears as we unwrapped his beautiful box, his pawprint so precious and to our amazement, some locks of hair and his cute nose print. The grief pamphlets were well received too. Thank you so much.

TRULY TOUCHED BY THE COMPASSION OF GENTLE KINDNESS

ON 2-13-21 MY DAUGHTER & I HAD TO HAVE OUR 16 YEAR OLD BENTLEY & 12 YEAR OLD KATIE-SPADE TO REST. DR. KARA WAS SO KIND AS SHE TOOK OUR BABIES TO YOU. I WAS SO IMPRESSED BY THE QUICK RETURN OF OUR FURBABIES AND BURST INTO TEARS AS I OPENED THE BAG. SUCH GENTLE KINDNESS AS TO THE BEAUTIFUL CEDAR BOX, THE SWEET PAW PRINT WITH THEIR NAMES ON THEM AND THE WONDERFUL LITERATURE SENT TO READ AND REMEMBER. WE WERE SO TOUCHED BY YOUR GENTLENESS & CARE. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR SWEETNESS IN RETURN OF OUR ANGELS. THANK YOU SO MUCH..

More than ever expected

I had never heard of your business until my dog passed away. Our Vet told us about your service and when we received our dog's remains, we were blown away at what you provided. Your company went above and beyond any expectations of what we thought we were receiving. Sadly, 2 weeks later our cat passed away. I just want to say thank you for helping me and my family cope through these great losses. My heart is overflowed with emotions of what you provided us. We also want to thank you for making the fees for your services affordable; especially since we spent quite a bit at the Vet's office. Words could never express the appreciation and gratefulness that we feel towards your company and the memories that you have helped to live on.

Tivo my little man of the house

First I would like to thank Pet Angel for the loving care they gave to Tivo, my snowshoe cat, as well as the care and understanding they gave to me. I rescued my handsome boy from Friends of Strays in 2008 and he had been with me ever since. He gave me 13 wonderful years of companionship. Tivo became ill suddenly and unfortunately nothing could be done except let him pass at home and in his way. There is too much to say about him but I will always miss Tivo. Mike at Pet Angels was very tender and gentle with Tivo when he came to get him. He let me put Tivo's blanket and one of his favorite toys in with him, which was a wonderful thing for him to do for Tivo and me. My heartfelt thanks to Mike and everyone at Pet Angel for their aftercare of Tivo.

Lillian Bonita 4.1.2004-10.22.2020
My BFF (Best Feline Friend)
A.K.A. Lily, LilyCat, Lillikins, Queen Sheba
Named after Lillians Pizza restaurant in Perdido Key, Florida because of all the childhood memories of walking with my Dad to take me to eat the best pizza ever and play Pac-Man and drink classic Coke from a bottle.

My soulmate was trapped in a cats body. Never acted like a cat… Until you pulled out a piece of ribbon. A lifetime commitment that came from a free kitten newspaper ad in Florence, Alabama.

My most loyal companion, to a fault, that had the instantaneous ability to turn her affections into powerful swats from her cotton ball paws in order to avoid any jealousy from her human.

Her favorite past time memories included being held and cradled in her humans straight arms, on her back, and would strech out her body and paw the empty air showing off how to do the best “backstroke”.

She woke me up every morning for 16 years “kneading biscuits” on various body parts to the point of aggravation.

She would start hour long conversations with knowledgeable replies of meows that sounded like an old hag who had smoked cigarettes her whole life.

She supervised bathroom breaks, cooking lessons, and loved car rides when she would “drive”.

She was the biggest addicted treat junkie and purred when she ate them to the point where it sounded like something was vibrating. LilyCat took "stranger danger" a little too seriously... Always let her opinion be known about all circumstances.
Lily made me her lifetime commitment and licked her lips when I gave her a ‘good’ smooch.

I made it a point to never stay out too late because I had to get home to my girl, my soulmate, my sunshine, my partner in crime, my biggest fan that was there for every up and down for 16 years. She watched me get married, raise kids, buy and move in and out of different houses at different times, was there through a divorce, witnessed bad relationships, and was able to run away with me to a happier place.

I took her to a local vet one morning when I noticed she was highly dehydrated and quit eating everything, including her treats that she loves so much. I was told that she was in the final stages of kidney failure and she would go downhill and suffer from then on. I had them give her enough fluids and some pain medicine so I could enjoy one last night listening to the purrs of my sweet baby for one more night. I was overwhelmed and had a appointment with the local vet the next morning to end her suffering. But it didn’t feel right. I didn’t know what to do so I looked around and wanted to have her cremated because I can’t imagine living a life where LilyCat doesn’t exist. My cat was not just a cat. She was one of my most cherished things in this world. I called around to all these different crematory places and nobody answered the phone. I finally got someone to answer their phone on the first ring. His name was Waylon from Pet Angel Memorial Center. As soon as he got on the phone I could not quit crying while I told him my situation. I found so much comfort in his voice as he helped me plan a respectful final goodbye for Lillian. He made me realize I did not have to go to that local vet and went over every important detail over the phone. He wanted me to feel comfortable picking the best vet that would show compassion and care to my baby in her final moments.
The next morning I drove an hour to take her to Dr. Barr Veterinarian Hospital and he allowed us to dim the lights... I sang to her and talked to her so she was not scared. Dr. Barr called Waylon when it was over and I held her and cuddled her sweetly until they came to get her. They took her 10 minutes down the road to their office where they had a nice little room set up that we could say our final goodbyes and pick out the things that we would remember her with.
I had never had to put an animal down before in my life. It was awful having to do it to one of the most precious things in my life. Other places were treating her last day as a business procedure that had no meaning or importance behind it. The other businesses that I had called the day before never even called me back. This was the way her life was ending and she earned a certain amount of respect due to the way she lived her life for me. Your family is what you choose it to be and Lily was family. They treated her and her paw prints that she left in my heart with the most respect of anybody and I will forever be grateful.

Thank you!

Our family sadly had to say goodbye to our beloved Maltese, Tugs. We had the pleasure of having Tugs as part of our family for almost 17 years. We are so saddened of his passing. PetAngel provided us comfort during this time. We have peace knowing he was cared and loved for even after his passing.
